Upon the invitation from the FAO General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM) the BSEC PERMIS, in the person of the responsible Executive Manager Mr. Alexei Nistrean, participated in the GFCM meeting for the preparation of the High-level meeting on small-scale fisheries, held in Rome on 2 March 2018. The High-level meeting itself will be held in Malta on 25-26 September 2018 and is expected to adopt a Declaration and a regional Plan of Action for small-scale fisheries in the Mediterranean and Black Sea.
